Dr. Abdullah Alahmari’s role as CEO is to set IMI’s global strategic direction and facilitate business growth by positioning the company as a global leader in the maritime industry, offering its customers the combined operational expertise of its JV partners.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the world of IMI.

Today, Saudi Arabia is undergoing a historic socio-economic transformation under Vision 2030 and IMI is contributing to this by driving the development of the national maritime industry.

IMI’s growth and success are essential to the fulfillment of Vision 2030’s National Industrial Development & Logistics Program, which aims to leverage the Kingdom’s strategic geographic location linking trade routes across continents to create a thriving logistics ecosystem.

Feras Al-Sahan

Feras Al-Sahan, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO of IMI, Feras Al-Sahan oversees the company’s financial planning, management, and forecasting.

Feras has more than 20 years’ experience in various fields of business and began his career in 2000 in the banking sector as an international shares dealer. Shortly after, he joined Saudi Aramco as an Internal Auditor managing international operations audits including affiliate and joint venture companies, downstream development activities, as well as sales, marketing and logistics.

Yun-hyo Ahn

Yun-hyo Ahn, Chief Operating Officer, Ship Building & OSV Zones

As COO at IMI, Yun-hyo Ahn leads all activities related to shipbuilding and OSV zones.

Yun-hyo Ahn has over 30 years of shipbuilding experience with a proven track record in project management including detailed shipbuilding design for 9 years, preliminary design for 10 years, and production for 12 years, with experience in production and supply chain management. Supervising and managing the entire production process, from initial operations to external work and timely delivery.

COO - Rig Building & MRO Zones

Darren Macdonald

Darren Macdonald, Chief Operating Officer, Rig Building and MRO Zones

Darren MacDonald leads operations for all new build rigs and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) at IMI.

Darren is an experienced and proven business leader and project manager with 30 years of experience in Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine, and Naval Ship Building fields. His experience encompasses both EPC New Build programs and all aspects of MRO.

Senior Vice President, Operation Services

Taher Al-Dabbagh

Taher Al-Dabbagh, Senior Vice President, Operation Services

Taher AlDabbagh joined IMI in September 2018, building and developing a number of corporate functions including Human Resources, Learning and Development, Information Technology, Health Safety and Environment, Facility Management, and Support Services.

Taher was named SVP of Operation Services in May 2020, where he is responsible for a broad range of tasks including Engineering Design, Quality Control, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Asset Management, Marine Operations, Program Management, and Project Control.

Emad Al-Humam

Emad Al Humam, Senior Vice President, Corporate Services

Emad AlHumam, Senior Vice President Corporate Services at International Maritime Industries Company (IMI), is a visionary executive with more than 30 years of an extensive experience that stems from his multi-faceted exposure that spans multiple disciplines in Project Management, Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Strategic Planning, and recently the Maritime Industry. 

AlHumam joined Saudi Aramco in 1990 after earning his bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. In 2008, he earned his master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Phoenix University -Houston, TX as well as he is certified information security manager (CISM) and certified in risk information system control (CRISC) in the same year. In 2009, he completed CIO MBA program from Boston University. In December 2017, he was seconded to International Maritime Industries company (Saudi Aramco Joint Venture).

Dr. Abdullah Alahmari

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Abdullah Alahmari’s role as CEO is to set IMI’s global strategic direction and facilitate business growth by positioning the company as a global leader in the maritime industry, offering its customers the combined operational expertise of its JV partners.

With nearly 30 years of experience in IT, Systems, Supply Chain Management (SCM), the Chemical Industry, the Oil & Gas Industry, and Health Services, Dr. Abdullah brings his diverse expertise to lead high-performing teams at IMI.

Dr. Abdullah has spent more than 18 years in a variety of leadership positions. He served as Deputy Minister at the Saudi Ministry of Health for around three years, where he was responsible for SCM and Operations of all the ministry’s medical facilities.

More recently, he served as VP of Business & Services of Sadara Chemical for more than three years, where he helped to lead a critical transition from commissioning and startup to full operation.

Feras Al-Sahan

Chief Financial Officer

As CFO of IMI, Feras Al-Sahan oversees the company’s financial planning, management, and forecasting.

Feras has more than 20 years’ experience in various fields of business and began his career in 2000 in the banking sector as an international shares dealer. Shortly after, he joined Saudi Aramco as an Internal Auditor managing international operations audits including affiliate and joint venture companies, downstream development activities, as well as sales, marketing and logistics.

During his tenure at Saudi Aramco, Feras held positions of growing responsibility within the Corporate Planning and Controllers teams. In 2015, he became Chief Financial Officer of two of Aramco’s Research and Technology subsidiaries. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer at IMI in October 2019.

Feras holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Yun-hyo Ahn

Chief Operating Officer, Ship Building & OSV Zones

As COO at IMI, Yun-hyo Ahn leads all activities related to shipbuilding and OSV zones.

Yun-hyo Ahn started his career in 1993 at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) as a shipbuilding design engineer, in 2002 he was the lead engineer in the preliminary design department. in 2005 and 2010 he participated in the PMA/Noise working groups. in 2012 he was the Chief engineer of the ship hull construction department. He assumed the position of General Manager of the production department in 2015 and specializes in various departments to ensure successful project implementation.

 Yun-hyo Ahn Graduated from Busan National University in South Korea with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Darren Macdonald

Chief Operating Officer, Rig Building & MRO Zones

Darren MacDonald leads operations for all new build rigs and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) at IMI.

Darren is an experienced and proven business leader and project manager with 30 years of experience in Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine, and Naval Ship Building fields. His experience encompasses both EPC New Build programs and all aspects of MRO.

He is an expert in project delivery and meeting operational business requirements, and holds professional accreditations in Engineering and Program Management.

Taher Al-Dabbagh

Senior Vice President, Operation Services

Taher AlDabbagh joined IMI in September 2018, building and developing a number of corporate functions including Human Resources, Learning and Development, Information Technology, Health Safety and Environment, Facility Management, and Support Services.

Taher was named SVP of Operation Services in May 2020, where he is responsible for a broad range of tasks including Engineering Design, Quality Control, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Asset Management, Marine Operations, Program Management, and Project Control.

He has substantial experience as a member of executive teams at Unilever, Microsoft, Mobily, and the Landmark Group.

During his 25-year career, Taher has demonstrated a track record of establishing new businesses, developing organizational capabilities, growing and transforming existing ones, and increasing revenues and profitability.

Taher earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from KFUPM and an Executive MBA from Hult International School. In addition, he has completed advanced executive programs at Harvard, Stanford, and the London Business School.

Emad Al Humam

Senior Vice President, Corporate Services

Emad AlHumam, Senior Vice President Corporate Services at International Maritime Industries Company (IMI), is a visionary executive with more than 30 years of an extensive experience that stems from his multi-faceted exposure that spans multiple disciplines in Project Management, Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Strategic Planning, and recently the Maritime Industry. 

AlHumam joined Saudi Aramco in 1990 after earning his bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. His current senior executive role allows him to use his strategic thinking, vast skills and strengths gained from his past CIO leadership roles, his impressive knowledge in Cybersecurity, and his past CFO role. Add to that his earlier role as VP of Procurement and Supply Chain.  He is skilled in corporate digital transformation, IT project management, IT governance, IT Infrastructure and Networks, risk management (CISM & CRISC), business continuity, applications & ERP implementation. It is worth noting that in his current senior executive role he is leading multiple functions namely: Human Resources, Training and Development, Information Technology, HSE & Quality Management, Digitalization & Innovation, Facility Management, Industrial Security & Fire, Corporate Communications, and Cybersecurity. AlHumam also oversees and provides the direction of corporate environmental and occupational health policies and provides guidance to management as to the impact of environmental trends.
